I encourage couples to come together, because the onus usually doesn’t squarely fall on one of the partners alone. Everyone involved in the relationship has to understand what is going on, and how to respond best to challenging situations.
This isn’t couple’s therapy. The goal is to help both members of the couple to understand and navigate specific issues (like travelling, cooking, planning, communication, intimacy, and so on).
